Money spent on something you won't use is wasted.Ī lot of workstation cards use PCIE like nVidia Quadro cards. Typical gamers and consumers will never use ALL the features that a motherboard is able to offer. IMO, it's a result of marketing high-end enthusiast computer parts to people who will never use them.
